Popis: Casu marzu offers a truly unique gourmet experience. The food will move in front of your eyes. This special cheese is literally full of maggots. Together, they feast on the cheese, infusing it with a unique flavour. The maggots are the larvae of the frog (Piophila casei), which can leap to a height of 15 centimetres. Their excrement contributes to the yeast process inside the cheese. The result is a creamy to liquid consistency. This specialty is produced in Sardinia, and its name "time marz" can be translated to "rotten cheese".
