Tuna eyeballs

World's Scariest Food

Tuna eyeballs

Popis: For movie goers, a sure way to make them turn away from the screen in disgust is to show a scene where eyeballs are being cooked or served. Nice! But the Japanese are more likely to eat them. The tuna eyeball is one of the favourite delicacies here. You can either cook them or prepare them as sauté. Fish eyes are roughly the size of a tennis ball and they can be accompanied with a few slices of lemon, soy sauce, ginger and rice vinegar. Examples of recipes can be found here: https://www.ehow.com/how_8241418_cook-tuna-eye.html If you don't have your own eyes readily available you can leave it to an experienced chef, and visit some of the restaurants on Naha seafood market in Okinawa. Alternatively, you can ask for them in some of the sushi restaurants.
