Descripcion foto: The Galerie de Valois runs along the east side of the Palais-Royale gardens, named in honor of Louis-Philippe duc de Valois, eldest son of Louis-Philippe duc d'Orléans. - Café Février is located in the basement of this gallery, at No.103; in this café, Louis XVI's bodyguard, Philippe Nicolas Marie de Pâris, stabbed Louis-Michel Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau (January 20, 1793, in the picture). - The boutique of the cutler Badin (No. 177) from whom Charlotte Corday bought the knife she used the same day (July 13, 1793) to stab Jean-Paul Marat at home in his bathtub was also located here.
