Descripcion foto: Gioachino Rossini was an Italian composer who gained fame for his 39 operas, including Il barbiere di Siviglia (known in English as The Barber of Seville). Rossini died at Passy in 1868 at the age of seventy-six and interred at the Père Lachaise Cemetery. In 1887 his remains were moved to the church of Santa Croce, Florence.
