Descripcion foto: The Coronation of the Bohemian monarch was a ceremony in which the king and queen-consort were formally crowned with the Crown of Saint Wenceslas, and invested with royal insignia, including a cap or mitre and a lance symbolic of Saint Wenceslas in St. Vitus Cathedral. The first ruler of Bohemia to be crowned in St. Vitus was Wenceslaus I of Bohemia. Other important figures crowned here were John of Bohemia (1311), Charles IV (1347), Maria Theresa (1743), and Ferdinand V (1836, the last King to be coronated in St. Vitus).
