Descripcion foto: The Brigittenau Temple was a synagogue built in 1899/1900. It was destroyed during the November pogroms in 1938 (Kristallnacht). At 7:00 a.m. on November 10, 1938, the looting of the synagogue began. The silver cult objects were stolen by the Gestapo and the synagogue's textiles were destroyed. Four and a half hours later, the Torah shrine was burned. The destroyed synagogue was later replaced by a residential building.
