Descripcion foto: The Temple of Caesar or Temple of Divus Iulius was decreed by the triumvirs Octavian, Antony and Lepidus in 42 BC after the senate deified Julius Caesar posthumously, and completed by Octavian alone. The temple functioned as a cult center for the cult of the deified Julius Caesar. Augustus used to dedicate the spoils of war in this temple.
