Place de la Concorde - Nazi Occupation

Description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_in_World_War_II

Descripcion foto: After the defeat of the Allied forces at the end of May 1940, the German forces advanced toward Paris, declared 'open city' to avoid its unnecessary destruction. At 5:30 in the morning of 14 June, the first German advance guard entered the city, followed by several German columns. German military vehicles with loudspeakers circulated, instructing Parisians not to leave their buildings. By the end of the afternoon, the Germans had hung a swastika flag at the Arc de Triomphe and organized military parades, primarily for the benefit of the German army photographers and newsreel cameramen.
