Lone Elk Park

Description: Lone Elk Park is a wild-life area protecting bison, wild turkey, waterfowl, elk, and deer. It is a preservation area that people are allowed to visit to view the wild animals that live there. The park was reclaimed by the St. Louis County after the Koran War and has been under their protection ever since. They have obtained some of their animals from Yellowstone National Park in 1966 and from the St. Louis Zoo in 1973.
