Detailed description: Although Zambia has seen positive developments in reproductive health care in recent years, maternal mortality is still unacceptably high. To alleviate high mortality, the Czech Republic supported the Caritas CZ project to acquire equipment for the maternity ward of Lewanika General Hospital in Mongu (Western Province).
