Detailed description: Since the biggest obstacle to repairing potential faults in this area is often the lengthy or completely dysfunctional communication between resource managers and the authorities that mediate repairs, an electronic fault logging system was already introduced in the area under a previous project. Thus, thanks to a simple software, officials receive information on faults immediately through SMS messages sent to the resource managers and can react immediately to the faults. The project has been strengthening the capacity of secondary vocational schools, the district water office and local water management committees, addressing the problem of high fluoride content in groundwater (building defluoridation stations) and also focusing on water resource inventory, i.e. creating a database of technical data on individual sources. In addition, the aim was to expand knowledge and capacity to four other secondary schools in Sidama, Wolaita, Hadyia and Gamogofa zones.
