Detailed description: The main activities included organizing mobile medical team visits to remote areas in Sidama and Borena zones. The trips included patient examination, diagnosis, cataract and trachoma surgery. Residents were provided with spectacles and trained in eye care. The capacity of the ophthalmology team of Yirgalem Hospital was strengthened and at the same time the equipment of this team was improved.
