From Emergency Aid to Long-Term Social Integration
When war broke out in Ukraine in early 2022, thousands of people fled in search of safety. In response, volunteers from Česko.Digital and Mapotic launched Umapa – a rapidresponse map guiding refugees to critical services such as shelters, legal aid, transportation, and food.
What started as an emergency aid tool quickly evolved into IntegroMap: a scalable, multilingual integration platform that now supports migrants, refugees, and socially vulnerable individuals across Czechia and Slovakia. With real-time data updates, map embeds, and self-service options, IntegroMap continues to help communities adapt and respond to complex humanitarian needs
ABOUT THE PROJECT
IntegroMap is built on a flexible interactive map platform. The key content partner is IOM Czech Republic, which oversees data related to emergency accommodation and crisis support. Additional data contributors include the Czech Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, ManpowerGroup, and KdeJePrace.cz—a job-matching service tailored to foreign nationals. The platform is open to new collaborators, whether to integrate data, use the map via API, or embed localized views on external websites.

Bringing Together Fragmented Support Into One Useful Tool
In a crisis, data is often scattered—across spreadsheets, forms, databases, and emails. This fragmentation creates major obstacles for NGOs and public institutions trying to coordinate aid and services. IntegroMap addresses this challenge by consolidating and transforming diverse datasets into one up-to-date, structured, and searchable map. With over 50 contributors from across sectors, the platform has become a collaborative backbone for integration services.
Automated Location Data Across Systems
IntegroMap connects to multiple external systems through APIs and sync processes, automatically pulling verified information from trusted partners. Data from ie. IOM, ManpowerGroup, KdeJePrace.cz, and government sources is regularly updated and transformed into geo-tagged entries
Mapping Knowledge for Action
Thanks to our flexible framework and SDK, we were able to quickly deploy a dedicated mobile app for both Android and iOS, making access to integration services even more convenient for users on the go.

IntegroMap enables seamless data integration from multiple sources, including NGOs, government agencies, and local partners. Thanks to automated synchronization processes, the platform regularly pulls structured data from tools like Google Forms, Google Sheets, and partner databases. This ensures that users always access the most up-to-date and accurate information.
An internal curation workflow ensures GDPR compliance, versioning, and quality control of over 80 monitored attributes before selected data is published to the public interface. This setup empowers service providers to update their own records and field workers to feed in critical updates—creating a dynamic, decentralized, and scalable system.

IntegroMap brings together data from a broad range of trusted partners – government ministries, NGOs, public platforms, and user contributions. Each category within the map is maintained through collaboration with organizations that specialize in that particular domain, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
